My friend Lee recounts an amazing an personal customer service experience.

In short:

  • He purchased a pint of Ben and Jerry’s, but was unhappy with it.
  • He wrote a letter letting them know.
  • Time passes, and he receives a personal, pertinent note that was hand signed by a customer service rep.

I’ve always been more likely to splurge on a pint of Häagen-Dazs, however, next time, I’ll definitely give Ben and Jerry’s a try.
